ABOUT

Lina Bou (b. 1988, Dalarna, Sweden) is a Swedish-Spanish visual artist based in France. Working across painting, illustration, wool, and edible installations, her practice moves between exhibitions, commissioned works, immersive environments, and participatory experiences.

Her work explores the expressive possibilities of everyday materials, creating immersive worlds where gesture, material, and seasonality become ways of telling stories. Through painting, food, and textile, she develops works that blur the boundaries between image, senses, object, and encounter, inviting audiences into poetic and tactile experiences.

Originally trained in herbalism and journalism in Stockholm, Lina developed an early sensitivity to observation, storytelling, and the rhythms of the natural world. These foundations continue to inform a practice rooted in curiosity, careful looking, and a close dialogue with materials.

Alongside her independent artistic practice, Lina is the founder and artistic director of Culinate Collective (est. 2022), a platform for collaborative culinary experiences presented internationally. Through workshops, immersive dining formats, and site-specific projects, Culinate Collective extends her exploration of food as an artistic medium.

Her work has been presented through exhibitions, site-specific commissions, collaborative projects, and immersive experiences internationally.
